The Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence has been providing scholarships to all freshmen for four years to foster core talent, and plans to expand the scholarship system according to various industry-academic programs.

International joint research and internship
Seoul National University of Science and Technology has established an academic exchange network with 10 institutions in 301 schools in 61 countries around the world. The Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence plans to offer a global joint degree course with outstanding universities such as The U. of British Columbia and U. of Hertfordshire and plans to expand internship opportunities with Canada's Mila Institute, Germany's Max Planck Institute, and Japan's Institute of Biochemistry.
The Department of Applied Artificial Intelligence continues to expand necessary facilities for each industry so that professors with diverse industrial experience in artificial intelligence can conduct field-oriented learning/research.
